Al was a great colleague and I will miss him sorely. Throughout the years he graciously guided Engineers like myself, and others. Always helpful and easy to talk to. I am blessed that he was among my circle of wonderful friends in the land development field. My deepest condolences to his family. Randy Drueck

The Village of Beach Park extends our deepest sympathies to Al's family and friends. Al was invaluable to us as we worked through our incorporation as a new Village in Illinois. He simplified the planning and zoning processes for us during this time, and continued to provide us with invaluable planning guidance. Al was a true professional and he will be missed, but his professional legacy will live on here in Beach Park.

Dear Sue and family.
I would like to express my deepest condolences to you all. I have relied on Al for about 30 years, helping me and our community with everything you could imagine on the planning aspects of a smaller village. My last conversation with him was apparently the week before he passed. He always answered my calls (he gave me his cell number long ago), and always had the time to talk to me. We would always end up laughing during the conversation, no matter what the issue was. I think the last time we talked, and after we discussed the planning stuff, we discussed about how proud he was of his son - he was on the channel 9 morning news at the winery in Long Grove playing in his band (which I had seen). Al told me all about his sons career in music, I just wanted you to know. As much as you will miss him and grieve, know that others in their way will too. There is nothing more important than an old friend, and that was what Al was to me.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
