William J. Schmidt, 86, a 35 year resident of Green Oaks, passed away Jan. 3, 2016 at Advocate Condell Med. Ctr. Mr. Schmidt had retired from Northern Trust Bank.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 65 years of marriage; his sons William (Mona) and Robert (Nancy); his grandchildren Katie (Andy) Yarc, Jillian (Jeff) MacNamara, Camryn Schmidt, Matthew (Emily) Schmidt and Sarahanne Schmidt; and 10 great-grandchildren. William is preceded in death by his daughter Maryann Schmidt.
Funeral services will be 8:00 pm Friday Jan 8th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville where his family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until time of service. Interment 11:00 am Sat. at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. Memorials to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Funeral info (847) 362-2626.
