I had the rare opportunity to visit my Uncle Peter a few years ago in Scottsdale, AZ. He shared several of his photos and momentos with me from his early childhood in Ascoli Piceno, Italy and the US. Here he is in his knickers, circa 1929 on the streets of Little Italy in Chicago and with his Uncle Giuseppe "Joe" Vinciguerra at the family grocery store on the corner of Ada and Flournoy. Joe and his brother Camillo, Peter's father, are listed in the 1933-1934 Selected Directory of Italians honored for their civic work.
