Obituary of Therese Berger

Therese Berger, nee Bukantis, 90, of Lake Bluff, passed away Oct. 8, 2022, peacefully with her family by her side. Therese was born in Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan Township High School class of 1949. She was an active 50-year parishioner of St. Joseph Church and is remembered for her rosary making. She loved to garden, especially tending to her roses, she was an avid bird watcher, and she enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos. Therese was kind and gentle mom and grandma and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving children Paula M. (Rebecca) Berger, Deanna J. Berger and Daniel G. (Kimberly) Berger, and her cherished grandchildren Richard, Michael and Cory. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Anna Bukantis; her husband Richard; and her siblings Lorraine (Harvey) Bruecks and Edward (Donna) Bukantis.

Funeral Mass for Therese will be at 10:30 am on Thursday Oct 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville where the family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass.
