Obituary of Mariann Mayer

Mariann M. Mayer, nee Obenauf, 64, of Mundelein, passed away August 23, 2013. Mariann was born and raised in rural Mundelein. She graduated from St. Mary's grade school in Fremont Center, Mundelein High School, and Marquette University School of Dental Hygiene in 1968. Mariann practiced as a registered dental hygienist for 45 years and was an active member of St. Mary of the Annunciation parish, Fremont Center. Mariann is survived by her devoted husband Tim of 41 years; her loving children Kate Mayer Tekampe (David Tekampe), Ann Mayer and Michael Mayer; her dear brother and sister William (Mary Lou) Obenauf and Priscilla "Toots" (Ted) Binzel. She was the proud aunt of many nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to many. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Michael and Priscilla Obenauf and her dear brother Richard "Archie" (Joan) Obenauf. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Friday August 30th at St. Mary of the Annunciation's historic church, 22333 W. Erhart Rd, Mundelein. Interment St. Mary cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday morning from 10 - 11 AM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Route 176 one block East of Milwaukee Ave). If desired, memorials made to St. Mary of the Annunciation "The Old Church Project" or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis TN would be greatly appreciated.
