Obituary of Robert James Billa

Robert "Bob" James Billa, 68, passed away peacefully December 18, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  He was born in Chicago on August 20, 1953 and was a longtime resident of Yorba Linda, California.  He retired in June, 2021 after a 42-year career in commercial and residential construction. Bob had an infectious laugh and sense of humor. He loved golf, goofy things and going to the zoo with Kathy.

Bob was preceded in death by his loving parents, Shirley and Robert Billa, and is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Kathy. He was the loving stepfather of Jill (Andrew) Knowles and John (Kirsa) Dosemagen; much loved Grandpa Bob of Aidan, Maia, and Declan Knowles and Leah, John, and Kayla Dosemagen; brother of Michael (Ewa) Billa, Richard (Barbara) Billa, and Susanne (Donald) Hitzel; brother-in-law of Michael (Audrey) Janicki, Susan (Fred) Bau, Joel (Yau-Ling) Janicki, and James (Mena) Janicki.

A Visitation will be held for Bob Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1-2:45pm with a Memorial Service at 2:45pm Saturday, February 5, 2022 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel in Libertyville, IL. In honoring Bob's wishes, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
