Obituary of Raymond D Lutz
Raymond D. Lutz, born April 6, 1933, of Vernon Hills, died peacefully at home on September 30, 2021. He was born in Bloomfield, New Jersey and traveled with his parents to Germany prior to WWII. Despite being separated from them in the chaos of the war, they were reunited and returned to the United States after the war. After serving in the military, he graduated from Lafayette College and embarked on a career that led him to general management in manufacturing. Raymond was an avid collector of Marklin model trains building layouts of varying gauges from HO to Z gauge. He treasured his time in Naples, FL, where he wintered for the last ten years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (née Hawke), a son, Tyson (Jie), stepdaughters, Tricia Goldfarb and Linda Halik (Joe), and grandchildren Emily Halik, Talah and Phoebe Goldfarb, and Brandon Lutz.
