He is the last of his original family to go, they have been patiently waiting for you.
Your work here is done, go to them. No more pain, no more fright.
The good fight has been waged and you have won.
THE PILOT'S PSALM
The Lord is my Pilot, I shall not drift. He guides me across the dark waters. He steers me in deep channels. He keeps my log. He pilots me by the star of holiness for His name's sake. Yea, though I sail 'mid the fenders and tempests of life I shall dread no danger for He is near me. His love and care shelter me. He prepares a harbor before me in the homeland of eternity. He anoints the waves with oil, my ship rides calmly. Surely sunlight and starlight shall favor me on my voyages and I will rest in the Port of our Lord forever.

Food has always been a big deal during the Guido Family holidays, and some of my favorite memories of Frank involve food. On Christmas Eve the family would all be in the kitchen to either participate in or watch as the pasta frite dough was rolled out and cut into the proper sized pieces. There were always the comments: that one’s too big, that one’s way too thin, and what are you doing? Frank always seemed to get the job of frying them, a very important and greasy job! Poor Frank was always criticized for frying them a bit too long as they would come out crispy. He didn’t get angry or discouraged though, and he was always willing to fry them again the following year!
Frank had an incredible sweet tooth, so it is a good thing that Millie is an outstanding baker! After every holiday meal while most of the family gathered in the kitchen to put away leftovers and wash dishes, Frank would remain at the dining table with possibly one or two sons and multiple grandchildren, and ask about the dessert. He would encourage his grandchildren to get the dessert serving in motion. He knew he could convince the kids to be his partners in crime, especially if the kids’ favorite, Candy Cane Pie, was one of the desserts! His granddaughter, Gina, is going to miss baking for him as he was a very appreciative and complimentary consumer!
I always loved Frank's smile, it was sometimes a little mischievous, but always warm. What was even more special was the way his eyes smiled! I will miss his smiling eyes and his hearty laugh when something struck him as truly funny.
Thank you Frank for all you've done for Mike, me, and the girls. I love you, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand!
Love, Kathy

Today marks the beginning of fall. A new era for so many living things on earth. A transformation of life in a cycle we know as the seasons.
The change in the air was apparent. It was undeniably autumn.
The wind came in swiftly.
So strong.
My grandpa was strong.
The wind was there from the moment I stepped outside at 6am to the moment I received word of your passing. In that particular moment, the wind was gentle. Strong but gentle. Purposefully blowing.
Moments later, that same wind knocked a framed quote to the floor. “Have courage and be kind”
Simple words. Important ones.
My grandpa had courage. He taught me many things just through his actions.
Upon adopting autumn, we have officially lost summer. We had to let go as summer has moved on to a different dimension; a place where we cannot yet experience.
For many of us, although we’ve said goodbye, our hearts are with summer. Summer is in our hearts. Summer has simply just left the form that we know. Although a simple concept… it perplexes the mind and the heart.
Summer wants us to see and feel the beauty in fall because Summer is more free than we can ever imagine.
