Mildred "Millie" C. Garrity nee Johnson, 81, of Libertyville died Monday July 15, 2013 in Advocate Condell Medical Center Libertyville. Mildred was born in Waukegan and had been a long time Libertyville resident where she was a member of St. Joseph Parish. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, garage sales and was ever in pursuit of the "loose" casino slot machine.
Mildred was the loving mother of Susan (Len) Shamrock, Daniel (Colleen) Garrity and Michele Garrity. The proud grandmother of Christian (Stacy) Shamrock, Jason (Nicole) Shamrock, Justin (Andrea) Garrity, Megan (Joel) Delassus and Keith Neville and dearest great-grandmother of Scott, Brandon, Shelby, Ashton, Regan, Devon, Dylan, A.J., Jude, Sean, Sunny and Nora.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Keith R. Garrity in 1995 and her loving son Scott in 1978.
Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Thursday July 18 from McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt. 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave.) to Saint Joseph Church, 121 East Maple Ave., Libertyville, for Mass at 10:00AM. Interment following at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be Wednesday July 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral chapel.
