Obituary of Larry Svendsen

Paul “Larry” Svendsen, 72, of Grayslake, Illinois, passed away on March 12, 2021. Larry was born on May 24, 1948 in Highland Park, Illinois and was predeceased by his father Paul Svendsen, mother LauraSoprani Svendsen and his wife, Gail M Svendsen.

He is survived by children Matthew Svendsen (wife Jen and children Nathan and Jakob), Kristen Svendsen and Andrew Svendsen,  Sister Joan (husband Jesse and nephews Dan and Jay Gutierrez, and brother Steve (Wife Gill and niece Sara Svendsen).

Larry graduated from Drake University and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.  After college, Larry went on to serve as a Senior Vice President at the Bank of Waukegan, where he worked for more than 30 years. 

Larry was passionate about music and sports and was a lifelong Cubs fan. Larry’s family meant more to him than anything.  He was a proud and devoted father and grandfather and will be incredibly missed.
