Obituary of Charnice Fisher
Please share a memory of Charnice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charnice Fisher, who had been suffering from OSTEOSARCOMA (a rare form of Bone Cancer) for the past two years. Sadly, on Tuesday, Oct 6th, 2020, Charnice's Journey finally came to end. Unfortunately, our family's resources which were already strained due to high costs of medical care and medications many of which were not covered by health insurance were simply made much worse as a result of the current worldwide health crisis. Charnice passed away peacefully at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois, where she was surrounded by family and friends.
Her innocent and selfless nature is one that every parent desires to behold of their children, which is the same desire of our Heavenly Father, Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. "Charnice got it right".
She recently celebrated her 18th birthday on September 15th with her immediate family and one of her close friends, despite wanting to have a grand celebration where all of her friends could attend that was sadly interrupted by the coronavirus. During one of her more memorable moments, Charnice was able to briefly standup and dance one last time. Therefore, I ask that we all join together in celebrating the life of one extraordinary and brave young lady, by helping to fund her final Homecoming. Your help paying for funeral and burial services will enable us to make this the best celebration of life we can provide under the circumstances of social distancing. "Charnice, you are our Homecoming Queen!"
Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated as well as any encouraging words that you might leave here or prayers you've made for our family. I know that Charnice really appreciated everything everyone has done to support her during her 2-year journey, particularly those prayers made by people around the United States and from around the world in countries as far away as Cambodia, Philippines, El Salvador, Argentina, Jerusalem-Israel, Palestine, Australia and South Africa, that she never met. We thank you because reading the many words of encouragement sent and hearing about the many prayers made on her behalf made her days a little brighter. I remember her smiling with amazement and saying, "Wow! They don't even know me. "
Charnice was loved by many, her mom and dad loved her more than "any" words can possibly express, and I too love her dearly, but I know deep in my heart that the Lord our God loved her best.
May God bless each one of you and your families. May His blessings be bestowed upon you for your selfless effort to help our family during this very difficult time. Rest assured, that every penny received will be used exclusively for paying expenses related to Charnice's medical care and final homecoming.
We thank you again for your many prayers, words of encouragement, and financial support throughout Charnice's journey.
Funeral Service will be held Friday October 16 at 2:00 pm at Vernon Cemetery, 15215 Cemetery Rd, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to her family's Go Fund Me Campaign at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-with-funeral-expenses-for-charnice
