Arlene G. Palac, nee Grendys, 95, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2020. Arlene was raised in Chicago and later moved to Libertyville. Being a loving and devoted mother was her life’s purpose. She loved gardening, took her boys fishing for the first time, to their first Cubs game, and was excited to see the Cubs win the World Series. She loved sending and receiving cards and letters. She was always “thinking of you.”
Arlene is survived by her children Bud (Gail) Palac and Lisa Palac (Andrew Rice), son-in-law Joseph O’Donnell, her 6 grandchildren John Govreau, Michael O’Donnell, Joe (Hannah) Palac, Jim Palac, Marson and Arabella Rice and 3 great granddaughters, Abigail, Alexis, and Amelia Govreau.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Florian, daughter Nancy O’Donnell, and son Ron.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Thursday August 27th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Visitation will one hour prior at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville. Interment will follow Mass at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
