George and Jeanette sat behind me for years at St. Joes until their knees made it difficult for them to move comfortably. They moved to the handicap section to allow for their walkers. We always exchanged pleasantries at mass. George even gave me a hug when he saw I was missing my father when Father mentioned thanking veterans for their service. When George passed Jeanette continued to attend mass with either her daughter or son. Again, pleasantries were exchanged until she no longer attended the 7:15 mass which concerned me until I found out she was attending 5 PM mass on Saturdays.
We saw each other rarely then but when I would see her I would approach and communicate. The last time I saw her was one week before we were all confined. This makes me sad that I didn't get to see her. Both George and Jeanette were wonderful people. They are with each other now and probably having a good dance.
Godspeed Jeanette. Please tell George hello for me.
My condolences to the Masek family.
