Obituary of Ivan V Haqq

Ivan V. Haqq, 89, of Gurnee and Libertyville passed away on November 4, 2018. He was born in Allahabad, India on October 23, 1929 to Victor and Florence Haqq, née Buck. Ivan held degrees from the University of Allahabad, the University of Texas Seminary, and the University of Missouri. He worked at Sears Roebuck Co, retiring as a store manager in Oakbrook, IL.

Ivan was an avid gardener and earned his Master Gardener designation from the Chicago Botanic Gardens. He also enjoyed playing chess, collecting antiques, and international travel.

Nothing was more important to Ivan than his grandchildren— Christopher (Alejandra), Margaret, Matthew, Ethan, and Benjamin.

Ivan was proceeded in death by his wife Amy Allen Haqq and second wife Heidi Collori Haqq. Ivan is survived by his children Marjorie (Thomas) of Libertyville and David (Joyce) of Wildwood as well as his grandchildren, brother Eugene, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at McMurrough Funeral Home at 101 Park Place Libertyville, IL from 10:00-11:30am on Wednesday November, 7. Service to follow. He will be interred at Ridgewood Memorial Park 9900 N. Milwaukee Ave Des Plaines, IL.
