Elaine Leyva (nee Scaglione), of Vernon Hills, passed away March 8th at her residence with her family by her side. Elaine was born February 7, 1929 and was a longtime resident of Libertyville. She is remembered for her great sense of humor and adventurous spirit. Elaine was a kind hearted lady to all, especially her children. She was personable to everyone she met and will be greatly missed.
Elaine is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Frank. She is survived by her children Steve (the late Diana), Debra (Lance) Leyva-Brown and Lisa (David Peele) Leyva; her grandchildren Matthew (Colleen), Amy (Steve) Orzech, Michael, Blake (Shanna) Peele and Anthony Peele; and her three great-grandchildren Alex Orzech, Brandon Leyva, and Lawrence Peele.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Monday March 11 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl., Libertyville. Interment following at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00-7:00 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W.
