Sending warm hugs to Joe, Kathy, Laurie & Michael. May you all be surrounded in the love of friends, family & community. I am reminded of countless memories of the gatherings of our St. Joe friends with laughter, song & good cheer... celebrations large and small filled rooms with great food and plenty of activity. I fondly recall Mama Mary's sunkissed, smiling face encouraging us all to have fun as we gathered around the table, the living room, the sailboats...
Thinking of you all. Wishing you peace.
Linnie

Dear Joe and Family
We were friends at Maryville and then lived not to far apart in Illinois. But the best was running into Joe and Mary Jo at church on Marco. We had some fun boat trips
after that. Mary was a lovely person to know. Affectionly

It is with sincere condolences that I send this from Minnesota. Your mother was a very accomplished, generous and loving lady. May you find strength in your memories to move through these next few weeks and together find comfort that she is with her Lord and Savior.

We're praying that the Lord will enfold the famiy in His Loving Arms and assuage your grief. Joe and Mary married the same day Bill and I did, while the men were free from pilot training for the Labor Day weekend. We became good friends, and have loved hearing about all their adventures all these years. They were a great team and a Godly example to us all. (We were sad to miss their fortieth celebration because Bill had been in an auto accident and lost his front teeth.)
Joe's faithfulness to Mary Jo during her lengthy illness reminds us of God's faithfulness. Lamententations says "Great is Thy Faithfulness, ...His mercies are new every morning." Mary Jo is rejoicing with Jesus now!

As we sail the ocean of life, we share our journey with others. Some, like Mary Civello are wonderful shipmates and help us enjoy the voyage just by their presence. And when we reach our final anchorage, as we all must, we furl our sails and say farewell to Mary. God speed as you slip these surly bonds of earth, Dear Lady.
