Obituary of Martin Timothy Duhig

Martin “Marty” Timothy Duhig, 72, January 4, 2018.  Beloved husband of Karen; devoted father of Amy, Tim (Lisa), and Eileen (Drew) Larson; loving grandfather of Tyler and Eli.  Devoted brother of 11 siblings and in-laws:  Michael, Mary Brenz, Eileen (Edward) Lyons, Thomas (Marilyn), Peggy (late Robert Durkin), James (Kathryn), John (Valerie), Patrick (Marie), Ann (Michael Liston), Catherine (Bill) Holland, and Daniel (Diane). Fond uncle of 36 nieces and nephews; and 44 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Barry, mothers June and Jane, brother-in-law Bob Durkin.

Friends and family will assemble on January 12th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, (Rte 176, 1 Blk E of Rte 21) Libertyville, Illinois.  A Mass will be held on January 13th at 12:00 Noon at Saint Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 236 US-45, Indian Creek followed by a burial at Vernon Cemetery in Lincolnshire.  A celebration of life immediately following for friends and family.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer Disease Center at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. http://www.theaftd.org  or  http://www.brain.northwestern.edu/about/giving.html.
