Obituary of William Schuett

William “Bill” Schuett, 93 years old, WWII veteran, of Libertyville, IL, passed away December 5, 2016 at Condell Med. Ctr. Libertyville. He was born on August 16, 1923, in Whitewater, WI, the son of Albert and Emma (Mohlenbrink) Schuett. Bill married Beverly Ann Miller in Norman, OK. on October 30, 1943. They have lived in Belvidere, Decatur, Hanover, Crete, Deerfield, and Libertyville, all in Illinois. He was educated in elementary school at St John’s Lutheran School in Jefferson, WI., high schools in Ottawa and Belvidere, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 through 1945. He then went to James Millikin University in Decatur accompanied with wife Beverly and son Thomas, and was graduated there in June, 1949. He went to the University of Illinois for summer school. He taught at Hanover High School for three years and then became Business Manager of the Crete-Monee School District 201-U in Crete. He left there in 1966 and went to School District 170 in Chicago Heights for a short time. In 1968 he became Business Manager of Township High School District 113 (Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools) from which he retired at the age of 62 In June, 1986. He was a member of the Illinois Association and Lake County Association of Retired Teachers (IRTA), and the Association of School Business Officials (1ASBO) and did serve as State President of IASBO in 1979-80. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son Joseph, and brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mae Schuett, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry and Genevieve Miller. Survivors include his wife of seventy-three years Beverly of Libertyville, IL., his sons Thomas (Bonnie) of Mundelein, IL., William (Linda) of Antioch, IL. and Richard (Carleen) of Round Lake, IL., his grandson Michael, granddaughters Teri, Amanda, Laura, Katelyn and Emma, and great granddaughter Colette. Funeral service 11am Feb. 16 at Grace Lutheran Church, 501 Valley Park Dr, Libertyville, IL with a Visitation at the Church one hour prior to the service.
