Janet K. Jacob (nee Grimm) of Vernon Hills, IL died Sunday, 11/20/2016. Wife of Richard Jacob, mother of Howard (Lisa) Huntsville, AL and Mary Beth Porter (Matt) Dublin, Ireland. Grandmother of Shelby & Julia Jacob and Sean & Robbie Porter, sister of Betty Burt, Ogden, IA and favorite aunt (or so she said) of many. Preceded in death by parents Howard and Louise Grimm, and step father Clarence Mehlow.
Janet was a loving, warm hearted lady who enjoyed making everyone laugh; gourmet cook who loved to entertain; beautiful Christian woman who touched the lives of many. Janet was an extremely loving wife and incredible best friend to Dick for 56 years.
Visitation Sunday November 27, 2016 from 2 PM to 7 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM Monday November 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville, IL. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Hero Fund (https://support.hudsonalpha.org/hero) in Janet’s name.
