Obituary of John Joseph Pucin

John Joseph Pucin, age 89, of Lake Forest, passed away on October 4, 2016 at Balmoral Care Center in Lake Forest under Hospice care. Born on September 17, 1927 in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of the late John and Vincentia (Miholic) Pucin. He graduated from Waukegan High School in 1945 and went on to attend the University of Illinois, where he received a degree in business. On June 20, 1953 John married Donna (Broecker) Pucin, and pursued a long successful career as a sales leader for various companies including Anchor Coupling Company, Anchor Swan, and Dayco, Inc. He also served on the Board of Directors of the North Shore Trust and Savings for over 30 years and was an avid golfer who was a member of Glen Flora Country Club in Waukegan for over 45 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna, and their children, Diane M. (Dan Weber) Pucin, Terri M. Pucin, John S. (Susan) Pucin, son-in-law Thomas McCabe and grandchildren Kelley M. McCabe, Stephen T. McCabe, Elizabeth J. Pucin, and Nicholas J. Pucin; his brother Richard (Joan) Pucin and sister Donna (Ted) Dugenske. He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lynne (Pucin) McCabe. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL 60048.
