Ljubomir Milanovic, 73, long time resident of Libertyville, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Beloved husband of 43 years to Zlata , much loved father to Angela Gaspar-Milanovic (Enrique) and Tomislav (Ruth), proud grandfather to Valentina and Paloma Milanovic-Martin, he was born in Prnjavor, Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 28, 1942 to Mihailo and Mladja (nee Kuzmanovic) Milanovic. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Radovan, Vladimir , Rajko and Gojko. He is survived by brothers Veljko and Milan and sisters Vinka, Milka and Desanka. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Libertyville in 1973. He retired from Videojet Technologies Inc. in Wood Dale, IL in 2004 and in recent years enjoyed traveling to Europe, Mexico and California and spending time with his young granddaughters.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 16 from 5-9 pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel located at 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL 60048 and Wednesday, August 17 until the time of funeral service at 11 am at St. Sava’s Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048.
