James F Trelford, 75, lifetime Libertyville/Mundelein resident, US Navy, passed away January 3, 2016 at a local care facility. James was an avid coin collector and he thoroughly enjoyed his many cross country travels on the back of his motorcycle. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1962 and worked in multiple engineering positions throughout his life. James was a parishioner of St Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville.
James was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Sims) of 39 years who passed away in 2001 and his parents James and Irene Trelford. He is survived by his 5 children Rodney (Peggy) Trelford, James N Trelford, Timothy (Becki) Trelford, Jackie (Michael) Goldman and Cheryl Trelford, his 10 grandchildren; Michael, Katie, Justin, J.D., Megan, KIrstyn, Taylor, Star, Steven and Serenty, 1 great-grandchild Tesla,his 3 sisters Pat (Ron) Motsinger, Joy (Ken) Fogo, April (Chuck) Moats (Chuck) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service for James will be Wednesday January 6th at 7:30 pm with military honors to follow at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave), Libertyville. James’s family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Private interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Funeral information (847) 362-2626.
