Charlene M. Brooks nee DiCello 71 of Libertyville died Friday Aug. 24, 2012 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. She was born June 30 1941 in Cleveland Ohio and had been a resident of Libertyville for more than 40 years.
Char had been an area Realtor and member of St. Joseph parish Libertyville for 40 years. She had served as a volunteer for meals on wheels and various other community related organizations. Char will be remembered by family and friends as being an accomplished cook, a devoted grandmother and for her terrific sense of humor.
She is survived by her loving daughters GiGi (Kevin) Crowe and Jeannie (Steve) Wett her beloved grandchildren Jack & Mitchell Crowe and Lindsey, Stephanie & Kyle Wett and her dearest brothers and sister Michael and Robert (Christine) DiCello and Lucia (Rod) Thornton. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents Michael and Lillian (nee Longano) DiCello.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday Aug 30 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel 101 Park Place Libertyville where her family will receieve friends from 10 AM until time of service. There will be a private family cemetery service.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the "Holy Family Soup Kitchen" C/O 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL 60048 would be greatly appreciated.
