Obituary of Pamela Gehrke

Pamela Gehrke, 57, of Vernon Hills, passed away Friday June 12,2015. Pamela grew-up in Mundelein where she graduated Mundelein High School in 1976. Following high school Pamela graduated Northern Illinois University and took a position with Abbott Laboratories where she remained until her retirement. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church of Lake Bluff where she participated in both the church and Bell Choir. She was devoted camper and an adoring and idolizing grandmother. Survivors include her daughter Nicole (Robert) Gillcrist; her granddaughter Emily; her mother Patsy J. Pendergrass; her brothers James (Donna) Johnson, David (Dawn) Johnson and Gary Johnson; and her nieces and nephews Leah, Christopher, Cassie, Zachary and Teagan. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday June 16 at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville, where there will be a visitation from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
