Obituary of Theresa Kepic

Theresa Kepic (MAMA) lived a full life. She was born in Skofja Loka, Slovenia on October 3, 1924 and passed away in Libertyville on April 9, 2015. Her childhood was in a large loving family. She was well educated and trained to be a professional seamstress. Her married life began in a concentration camp in Austria after which she immigrated, via Ellis Island, to the Midwest with her husband John. She and John had three children and tragically, their son Yanko died in 1969. She was always active in cooking, preparing her famous specialties of potica and strudel. Her training as a seamstress allowed her family to have beautiful handmade clothing. She was the loving grandmother of her two grandchildren for which she played a large part in their care. Her love, energy and wisdom will be missed. Survived by her daughters Theresa (Frank Naeymi-Rad Ph.D., MBA) Kepic, MD and Anna Kepic; her grandchildren Ivana (Kevin Philip) Naeymi-Rad, MS and Andrei Naeymi-Rad, MA and her sisters Franczka and Poldka. Preceded by her husband John and son Yanko. Funeral Mass Saturday April 11th at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville following with interment at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation Saturday from 10:30 to 11:15 am at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place (Rt. 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave) Libertyville.
