Obituary of Mary Quinn

Mary Jane Quinn (nee SanFilippo), 90, of Grayslake, IL, passed away peacefully during the night on April 24, 2014. Mary was born and raised in Chicago and was one of nine children. In 1949, Mary was married to William J. Quinn and later moved to Vernon Hills, where they raised their three sons. Later on she moved to Grayslake, IL where she met great friends who have provided many years of wonderful friendship. She worked at Foulds, Fannie May and Hallmark Cards, where she cherished the memories she had with her co-workers. Mary is survived by her sons William P. (Victoria), Wayne (Carol),and Kevin (Jacquelyn). She is also survived by her grandchildren Natalie, Heather, Scott, Bryan, Sierra, Ryan, Patrick, Jessica, Sara and her three great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Damenica (Lupo) SanFilippo, her husband, William J., and all eight of her siblings. Visitation will be held Wednesday April 30 from 4 -8 pm and Thursday May 1 from 9:00-9:30 am at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville (Rt 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday May1 at 10am at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 236 U.S. 45, Indian Creek. Interment following at Willow Lawn Cemetery, Vernon Hills.
