Dan McElroy, 65, of Round Lake passed away Jan 18, 2014. Beloved husband and best friend of Maga McElroy; devoted father of Joshua (Megan); loving grandpa of Kira; treasured brother-in-law of Blanca (Mick) & Dora (Stan); cherished uncle of Jessica, Erin, & Megan and their spouses; endeared son-in-law of Connie and the late Efren; Dan's dearest siblings Gloria, Francis, the late Mark, and their families; and his mother Dody. Dan was a great friend, hardworking volunteer, and helpful neighbor to many. He will always be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday Jan 24 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Dan's family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 am at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt 176, 1 Blk East of Milwaukee Ave). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heifer International, 1 World Ave, Little Rock, AR 72202 or online at www.heifer.com whose goal is to end extreme hunger and poverty.
