Ramona was a sweet kind family friend especially during our own Tenafly and Connecticut as home eras in this life . . They would make weekend house visits occasionally together with Gene . Visited their home in Wantaugh with my parents once or twice long ago . RIP Ramona .

Dear Barbara,Mike,Eric and Veronica,
Ramona will always be a legend in our hearts and memories. She was gracious to a fault and had a laugh at the irony of life, giving her a tremendous sense of humor.
I remember so many family and holiday dinners together that she became family to us.
She loved with her whole being and nothing was more important than those family times.
Sending love and hugs and warm memories,
Love, Keith, Merle and clan xox

Though I never had the privilege of meeting Ramona in person, I feel as though I knew her through the loving stories shared by Barbara, Mike and Veronica. From everything i heard, she was a remarkable woman, kind, generous and deeply cherished by those who knew her.
Even without meeting her face-to-face, it's clear that she was very much loved by her family.
Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with her family and all who had the joy of knowing her. May her memory live on through the love she inspired in those around her.

Mrs. Trautlein (Mona) was like a second mother to me. Her home was always open to me. From driving me to brownies meetings to driving me to drivers ed classes. She was there. She even made a special trip from Connecticut to attend my graduation from the NYPD Police Academy in MSG. She was a great lady, elegant, classy.

It was a great honor of my life to be MonaGene’s "practice grandbaby". Some of my earliest memories are with them - riding the carousel and playing hide and seek at the mall, taking a bath with these little foam animals they had for me, learning the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme, and harboring my love for animals with their two cats (Catburt and Patches). After they moved to Illinois, every time we saw each other felt like a reunion filled with warmth and joy. I’ve held onto every moment I got with them, knowing how precious they were. The love and lessons shared are etched in my heart. I will always carry their beautiful spirits with me.
