Obituary of Maria De Ruvalcaba

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, María de Ruvalcaba, on 31 July 2024. María de Ruvalcaba was born on May 21, 1926, in Zaragoza, Coahuila Mexico.

She was the first born child to Marcos Ruvalcaba and Juanita Venegas Ruvalcaba. Her six siblings: Ruben Ruvalcaba, Roberto Ruvalcaba, Felipe Ruvalcaba, Consuelo Escobedo, Guadalupe Ochoa and Rosa Elia Ruvalcaba, all whom preceded in death before her. She was wife to loving husband Refugio Garza who preceded her in death. María de Ruvalcaba is survived by her three children Dora (Mario) Ruvalcaba, Daniel (Yascara) Sanchez, Sara (Ernesto) Alvarez, and her niece María-Esther (Alberto) Vasquez. Grandchildren's Mario (Karen) Ruvalcaba Jr., Ricardo (Imelca) Ruvalcaba, Azalia (Kevin) Baum, Eunice (Luke) Sokoloskis, Jonathan (Angelyn) Sanchez, Alejandro (Carina) Alvarez, Laura (Adrian) Alvarez, Jesse Alvarez, and Great-Grandchildren Alaya O. Alvarez, Aden N. Alvarez, Sage A. Baum, Elyse A. Sanchez.

In her passing, we find solace in knowing of her faith in God’s Promise of a paradise earth soon to come. Though we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in the memories we shared and the faith she had in Jehovah’s Promise to see her again. She was a woman of faith, kindness, and her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A celebration of María de Ruvalcaba’s life will be held on August 3, 2024 at 1:00pm at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville with a visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Rest in peace, mama, suegra, tía, abuelita, till we see you again in the beautiful paradise. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Te queremos mucho.
