Obituary of Keith Uyeda

Keith Uyeda, 70, of Waukegan passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024. Keith was born and raised in Chicago in the Rogers Park neighborhood to Harry and Gladys Uyeda. He gradated from Main East High School class of 1972 and Western Illinois University class of 1976. After working for the San Francisco Stock Exchange, he decided to continue his educational pursuits and received a nursing degree from Oakland Community College in Oakland, CA. He came back to Illinois and spent the rest of his career in nursing specializing in dialysis. He retired from Advocate Trinity in 2022 and shortly thereafter became a dog dad.

Keith cherished spending time with his family especially his annual family Easter reunion with his in-laws. He had an adventurous spirit and was a skilled white-water rafter taking many excursions out west with his friends. He also enjoyed playing poker with his friends, enjoying fine dining with family and rooting on the Chicago Cubs and Bears. He was a loving husband, wonderful brother and dear friend and will be dearly missed.

Keith is survived by his wife Adel of 26 years and his sister Sherrie. He is preceded in death by his parent and uncle Peter Izuo.

Visitation for Keith will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday July 19^th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville with a funeral service held at 6:30 PM. Private interment.
