Obituary of Antonio S. Almanza

Antonio S. Almanza, 31, of Mundelein, IL, passed away on May 14, 2024. He was born in Libertyville, Illinois, on July 12, 1992. Antonio graduated from DeVry University. He was lovingly married to Susanne Parvin Almanza.

Tony was a loving husband, son, and a good friend. His family and friends could talk to him for hours without realizing how much time had passed, and Tony always showed up for the people he loved, whether to assemble an IKEA bed for five hours for Susanne when they had been dating for only two months or to buy surprise gifts for his friends. If you asked him for anything, he would get it for you or make it happen. He was a man of many, varied interests—from aviation (not “planes”) to cigars to technology--and gave 100% of himself to each one.

He is survived by his wife Susanne Parvin Almanza, his father Antonio V. Almanza, his mother Dolores S. Almanza, and his dog Cafecito Almanza.

Funeral arrangements will include a visitation for family and friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel in Libertyville, IL. There will be a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville, IL, followed by burial at Ascension Catholic Cemetery.
