Prayers for the peaceful repose of a wonderfully gracious person with whom I had the privilege of working with for many years at Loyola Academy. Mary was a consummate professional dedicated to the personal and medical care of others. She was incredibly astute in assessing a student's need for attention. She was skilled in discerning the truly ailing students from those seeking an excuse to be absent. However, she treated everyone with the same degree of concern and respect, actually limiting the number of 'lame' trips to the nurse's office. Regardless of the seriousness of the situation, she could be relied upon to be steady, confident and effective. It was a true blessing to be her colleague and the school was indeed so fortunate to have her as a leader in service, which she modeled through her actions everyday. Sincere condolences to her family whom she loved so dearly.

What a fabulous colleague and friend!! Mary was professional in every dimension of her role as a member of the nursing staff at Loyola Academy. She was direct, firm, and radiated enjoyment of her role. Mary connected with so many students, and she was genuine, professional and supportive in those contacts. She loved her family members, and she readily communicated that love and caring to those who crossed paths with her. At her visitation, Mary's interactions with family was so evident by her presence in every photo on the beautiful displays. She was a regular attendee at the pre-pandemic Loyola Academy Former Faculty / Staff (LAFFS) monthly gatherings at Hackney's on Lake. She readily shared her updates, but was equally interested in how everyone else was doing. Mary's humor was always at the ready, and she had the gift of being able to deliver humor with a straight face…until she'd break a smile. Rest in peace, Mary. Your legacy continues through your vast number of family members who share wonderful indelible memories of your presence and influence in their lives. They each are truly blest to know you "family."
