Obituary of Nadia Zavala

Nadia Zavala, 98, of Libertyville, passed away March 13, 2024 peacefully at her home. Nadia lived a life of devoted faith and family. She was born in the Philippines and later in life moved to the United States to be closer to her family. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Libertyville. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom and grandma; she will be dearly missed.

Nadia is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Mrugendra) Gandhi; her grandchildren Meetal, Nina and Sima and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Normando; her daughter Socorro; her son Jose and her 8 siblings.  

Memorial Service for Nadia will be held at 10:00 AM on April 27th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville. Visitation for Nadia will be held at church from 9:15 until the time of Mass. Interment will be back in her birth country. Funeral arrangements by McMurrough Funeral Chapel (847) 362-2626.
