Christine “Chris” (Hall) Amborski
August 27, 1948 – April 14, 2024
Chris Amborski, beloved wife of Dale Amborski, passed away peacefully after battling brain cancer on April 14, 2024, in Libertyville, IL, at the age of 75. She was born on August 27, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, to her late parents Robert and Florence Hall.
Chris graduated high school in 1966 from Notre Dame Academy and further pursued her education at the University of Toledo, earning her degree. Following graduation, Chris worked as a paralegal for various attorneys in Toledo, OH, Ft. Wayne, IN, and Libertyville, IL. She later retired as an Investigator in the department of Ethics and Compliance after dedicating 25 years of service to Abbott Laboratories.
Married for 53 years to her beloved husband Dale, she shared countless adventures and cruises to Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean. Chris frequented Toledo, Ft. Myers, Hillsdale, Santa Ana, and many parts of Wisconsin, spending quality time with family and friends.
Chris will be remembered as a patient, humble, and kind woman, known for her generous spirit. She actively participated in religious and prayer groups and volunteered her time at St. Joseph’s as a Eucharistic Minister, offering comfort to the sick. She cherished her moments with her grandchildren and instilled in them the importance of family and tradition. Chris was a steadfast supporter of her husband and a true friend to all who crossed her path. As an only child, she held her friends close and engaged in activities such as swimming, yoga, golf, mahjong, and dinner groups.
She is survived by her husband Dale, her children Lisa (Tom) Przytulski and Dale Jr. ‘D.J.’ (Lindsay) Amborski, her grandchildren Lydia and Anthony Przytulski, Ellen and Jane Amborski, brother-in-law Rick (Mel) Amborski.
Visitation will be held at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary service at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass in memory of Chris will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:30 am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville, IL, followed by burial service at Ascension Cemetery.
