Obituary of Julie Harty

Julie A Harty, age 82, of Vernon Hills, passed on Monday March 18th. 

Born in Detroit Michigan, Julie graduated from East Detroit High School.  Soon after, Julie married Chuck Harty and career commitments led them to multiple cities before the family settled in Fredonia, New York for 18 years. While raising her three children in Fredonia, Julie worked with Chuck at their family drycleaning and laundry businesses. She did the billing and kept the three businesses clean and organized.  

In 1984, Chuck and Julie moved to Marco Island Florida.  In 2022, Julie moved from Naples Florida to Vernon Hills to be with family.

Julie’s passions in life were her faith, family and music.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She sang in the church choir for many years.  She also was the church organist for a period time and loved to play her organ.

Julie was survived by her three children Keith, Mike and Kim as well as her three sisters: Ginny Sullivan, Jackie Keat and Dina Martucci.  She also had three grandchildren:  Aaron, Abbie and Michael.

A wake will be held from 4-8 pm on April 5th with a memorial service at 6:30 pm at the McMurrough Funeral Chapel located at 101 Park Place Libertyville, Illinois: McMurrough Funeral Chapel.
