Obituary of Linda J. Drennan
Linda J. Drennan, 79, of Mundelein, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after bravely battling cancer. Linda was born in Bloomington, IL, and graduated from Trinity High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Rosary College/Dominican University in River Forest, IL, and began her career as a registered dietitian. Later, she pursued further education, becoming a registered nurse. She worked at Condell Hospital before transitioning to roles as a home health nurse and, ultimately, a home hospice nurse. Linda dedicated her life to caring for others, exemplifying compassion and kindness in all she did. Outside of her work, Linda found joy in the outdoors, whether running, biking, skiing, or more recently, playing pickleball. She cherished her trips to Colorado, where she could breathe in the mountain air and bask in nature's beauty. Linda also had a passion for symphony music, enjoyed playing Mah Jongg, and cherished playing games with her grandchildren. A faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Linda was devoted to her faith. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her husband John P. of 57 years; her children Kimberly (Scott) Kurban, Brian (Cynthia), and Leslie (Ryan) Hamilton; her grandchildren Grace, Jules, & Noah Kurban, Maike & Lucas Drennan, and Quinn & Adeline Hamilton; and her sister Diane (Greg) Daly.
