Obituary of Stanley "Jerry" G. Lockowitz
Stanley G. (Jerry) Lockowitz, 94, longtime Vernon Hills resident, US Marines, passed away February 4, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Mary Rose Lockowitz; loving father of Thomas (Pamela) Lockowitz, Kathy (Bryan) Duffy and Karen (Christopher) Javens; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Alison) Lockowitz, Ashley (Michael) Geary, Nicholas (Kelly) Duffy, Patrick (Holly Markhardt) Duffy, Kevin Duffy, Michelle (Jarrod) Kuhlemeier, Lisa (Ryan) Fergus, Brian (Michelle) McSweeney Jr., Daniel (Chelsey) McSweeney, Kristen Javens; proud great-grandfather of 24; and many nieces and nephews. Stanley was preceded in death by his sisters, Adeline and Frances, and brothers, Chester, Edward and Louis.
Stanley proudly served his country in the Marine Corps and was a Purple Heart decorated veteran of the Korean War. Stan owned and operated Stan Lock Buick dealership in Kenosha, WI for several decades.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Fri. Feb. 9th, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat. Feb. 10th at St. Joseph Church, 121 E Maple Ave, Libertyville, IL. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines, IL.
