Obituary of Patricia A Crawford

Patricia A Crawford, 81, of Libertyville, passed away peacefully December 15, 2023. Pat was born June 14, 1942 to Taylor and Hazel Crawford in Oak Park. Pat's life was marked by a commitment to education and public service. She started her professional journey as a teacher, she later devoted herself to serving the community through administrative roles at the Veterans Affairs offices in Florida and Illinois.

Pat leaves behind a legacy beyond her career, remembered fondly for her remarkable Scrabble prowess, her adept skills in knitting, and her unwavering support for her beloved Chicago sports teams—the Bears and White Sox. Her profound bond with her dogs was evident, and she held a special place in the hearts of her extended family, leaving behind cherished memories that will be deeply missed.

Pat is survived by her siblings Hazel (the late Tom) Kelliher and Harry (the late Maureen) Crawford; her nephews and niece Tim (Marta) Kelliher, the late Michael Kelliher, Tom (Darla) Kelliher, Patrick (Colleen) Kelliher, the late Kathleen Crawford, Harry (Julie) Crawford, Tom (Sue) Crawford, Robert (Cindy) Crawford, Colleen (Jamie) Montgomery; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Pat will be at 12 noon on Thursday Dec. 21^st at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville, where there will be a visitation at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the service.
