Obituary of Shannon Schweiger

Please share a memory of Shannon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shannon Schweiger, a woman of immense creativity, love, and faith, was born on the January 27, 1969, in Evanston, IL. She peacefully transitioned from this world on the November 25, 2023, in Libertyville, IL, leaving behind a legacy of love, design, and inspiration.

Her husband, Tom Schweiger, was her best friend, her rock and her partner in all things life. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with shared dreams and mutual respect.  Their children, Kelsey, Hunter, Payton, and Brady Schweiger, were the pride and joy of Shannon's life. Each child was a unique masterpiece in her eyes, and she devoted her life to nurturing their dreams, fostering their creativity, and instilling in them the values of love, kindness and faith that were so integral to her own life.

Shannon is survived by her parents Arthur and Kathleen Daniels; sisters Tammy (Rob) Burke and Erin (Sean) McGould; brothers Drew (Brynn) Daniels and Todd (Heidi) Daniels; along with Fred and Nancy Schweiger (Father and Mother-in-law); the extended Schweiger family; dozens of nieces and nephews; all of whom she adored.

Shannon Schweiger was “Shannon Strong” for more than six years, quietly fighting her cancer battle while making everyone else feel comfortable. Shannon made such an impact on her community and everyone she encountered.  She will be remembered for her joyous and endless energy, especially her passion for St. Patrick’s Day. She shared so much with everyone and taught so many the beauty of love and friendships.  Shannon’s priorities were her husband and children, who were the primary recipients of her endless capacity for love.

Shannon Schweiger’s life was a masterpiece, a testament to the power of love, the beauty of creativity, and the strength of faith. She was a loving wife and devoted mother.  She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. We thank her for the love, creativity, inspiration, and the beautiful memories. Her legacy will live in all whose paths she crossed.  Rest in peace, dear Shannon. She may have painted her last stroke, but her masterpiece will live on forever.
