Obituary of Zaib Kurishy

Zaib Kurishy, aged 35, of Libertyville, peacefully passed away on November 15, 2023, surrounded by his beloved family at Advocate Condell Medical Center. Born in Pakistan, Zaib arrived in America as a young child and thrived in his new home. He proudly graduated from Libertyville High School in the class of 2006.

During his high school years, fate smiled upon him as he met Liz, the love of his life. Their connection was instant, and they remained inseparable ever since. Zaib was admired for his exceptional work ethic, quick wit, and passion for sports. Whether teeing off on the golf course, stepping onto the baseball field, gliding down a ski hill, or navigating a bike path, he loved being active. Zaib's zest for life extended beyond sports; he found immense joy in exploring new destinations with Liz and cherished spending quality time with friends, often engaged in spirited games of poker. However, the true center of Zaib's world was his two cherished children. He embraced the role of a father with utmost seriousness, pouring his time and boundless affection into their lives, ensuring they felt unending love and guidance.

A beacon of friendship, a devoted husband, and an exceptional father, Zaib leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt. His warm spirit, unwavering commitment, and profound love will forever echo in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Zaib is survived by his loving wife Liz (nee Ziegler); his cherished children Isabelle and Nolan; his dearest siblings Ambreen, Erum, Bushra, Amber, Faiza, and Sana; his adoring mothers Sheryl and Aquila; his loving mother and father in-laws Janice and Donald and; his dearest brothers and sister in-laws Andrew, Claire and Alec. He is preceded in death by his fathers Imran and Jawaid.

Visitation for Zaib will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday Nov. 20th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville where there will be a celebration of life service at 7:00 pm.
