Obituary of Collin Lis
Collin Lis, 11, born and raised in Libertyville/ Vernon Hills, Illinois passed away on October 30, 2023 with his family by his side. Collin attended Hawthorn Middle School North as part of the sixth-grade class. Collin was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend who brought light and joy to all around him. He is famous for his daily hugs and his ability to play great practical jokes on his brothers. He had a tremendous heart and would actively seek out those that needed their spirits lifted. Collin had a contagious smile and had the innate ability to wake up happy every morning and go to sleep happy every night. He loved his trips to the parks, ice cream runs, Disney and the water parks trips with his brothers and family friends, and playing in the snow/sledding. He enjoyed basketball, was learning to play tennis and ice skate, and loved hanging around with family and friends, oftentimes, using his iPad to record special moments in life. He is remembered by his warm hugs, generosity, and empathetic personality. Collin brought light into this world and was taken far too soon. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Collin is survived by his loving parents Christopher and Heather; his cherished brothers Preston, Hayden and Graham; his adoring grandparents Marian and Emilia Lis & Linda and the late Ronald Koy; dearest aunts and uncles Mark and Julie Lis and Michael and Gillian Koy; Godparents Beata Trieber and the late Richard Koy; caring cousins Zac Lis, Ashley Lis, William Koy and Mallory Koy; and his dog and pal Oreo.
