Obituary of Marge Oplawski

Gertrude ‘Marge’ Oplawski, of Grayslake, passed away peacefully October 12, 2023 at the age of 78.

Marge is survived by her children: Jodi (Brian) Benz, Louis, and Joe; grandchildren: Kai and Brooke Benz, and Madison, Emma, Lilly, and Cameron Oplawski. Dear sister, aunt, friend, and confidant to many. She is preceded in death by her husband Louis A. Oplawski Sr.

She was such a selfless, kind, caring, hardworking, and loving person. She loved to travel, loved reading books, loved watching and going to Cubs and Bears games, and loved her family and friends beyond compare. Everywhere she went, she saw someone that she knew, no matter how far from home she was.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 11AM to 2PM, with a service to follow at 2PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, IL 60048. Interment will be held privately.
