My sister Yvonne and I had the privilege of meeting Tom in 1979 for the first time. As two Irish teenagers we were lucky enough to visit Chicago staying with Tom's wonderful mother , my great aunt Margaret and also with Tom and Marcia at their family home in Homewood Illinois that summer. Tom always had a smile and a joke for everyone and helped us to feel right at home. I later came back to visit Tom and his family many times and the similarities to my own father were so uncanny despite the two cousins living in different countries and only meeting a handful of times. My heart goes out to all the family and especially to wonderful Marcia. Condolences to you all as you grieve for a lovely man, a husband, dad grandfather and great grandfather. May he rest in peace. Dear Megan & Eileen, your dad was a wonderful man. When I was an Allstate agent in training, he would offen to give me a ride, and it was great conversation along the way. He was cut from the same fabric as my father, great men, great husbands and superior fathers and grandfathers.. how lucky we were to have them for Dads. God bless you and your beautiful family.
