Lawrence A. Bever, WWII Army Veteran, 91, formerly of Libertyville, died Monday Oct. 14, 2013 in Bloomington, IL. He was born in 1921 in Fairview, WI and had been a resident of Libertyville since 1947 where he had been a member of St. Joseph parish.
He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara (nee Hicks) of 66 years of marriage; his loving children John (Jan), Linda (the late James) Haynes, William, Robert (Karen), Mark (Jeanne), James (Peggy Schultz) and Katherine (Michael) Fulton; he was the proud grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 12; great-great-grandfather of 1; and the dearest brother of Francis, Patrick, Joseph and Shirley George and the late Leonard, Edward, Peter, Roman, Beatrice and Loretta Linder and was the beloved son of the late Peter and Theresia.
Funeral Mass will be 10AM Saturday October 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 East Maple Ave., Libertyville. Private interment Ascension Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday Oct. 18 from 4 - 8 PM at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt. 176, 1 Block East of Milwaukee Ave). Funeral information 847-362-2626.
