Obituary of Alois Lang
Alois “Lou” Lang, of Grayslake, IL passed away peacefully September 25, 2023 at the age of 84.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Susan Lang, children Christopher (Lisa) Lang and Lori (Joseph) McLaughlin, grandchildren Matthew Lang, and Cameron and Evie McLaughlin, dear cousin and friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his parents Simon and Mathilda Lang.
Lou was an entrepreneur, having owned his own business, Lang’s Auto Group, for over 40 years. He later embarked on a second career selling luxury automobiles for Knauz Auto Group, where he was perennially a top performer at Land Rover Lake Bluff for over a decade. He enjoyed golfing with friends, was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, an avid reader and lifelong learner. His friendships were dear and many, some spanning a lifetime - it was rare that he missed a St. George’s High School reunion. Above all, he was a devoted husband and loved being surrounded by his family.
