Remembering Nan and her expert beautician skills and Tim's first haircut. We miss you both! It's important to remember, that people like to be needed but especially love to be wanted, too! Let's stop and reflect upon taking the time of being kind or nice to someone, when it might be the last time you may ever see them again. And to pay attention to times that someone really needs help, not indifference.
Time with each other is what we should all want, every precious day we're given here.
Love to all...

Heartfelt sympathies to Charlotte, Sarah, and Earl. I remember cousin Nanette as the older interesting and fun cousin. I was a teenager when she would stop by and see us in California on her way to adventures around the world. She was a real life "Mary Tyler Moore" to me. She was a professional working woman making it on her own; doing things her way and loving life. She was a beauty and always full of excitement.

Deepest condolences to Earl, Sarah & Charlotte. Our mom named her Nanette but people misheard "Annette?" so that's how she became Anne, including a big transition to a wife and mother. She gave me interesting gifts when I was young, taught me how to discourage unwanted male attention as a teenager and why not be a feminist as an adult? She was able to change her mind easily~ but she was persistent about getting you to change yours, until you did! Or.. in my case, didn't. She was sweetly exasperating and could lovingly wear people down, especially those closest to her. One of my earliest memories of Nan was coming home from grocery shopping with mom. Mom had bought me beechnut fruit stripe gum. My favorite! Only 5 sticks in a pack. Nan saw me holding the pack, chewing a stick. She asked me "Can I have one?" I was seven. Totally clueless! Instead of removing one stick from the pack, I held out the pack toward her. Realizing my mistake, she removed 3 sticks, handed it back with one stick, while I'm "Heyyyy!!!" And she's grinning, doing the wahtusi on a throw rug as she stuffs the gum sticks in her mouth. She was 17. I was never going to trust her again. Ever! But I just didn't catch on until much later. It took awhile, but she finally figured out what was very important in life. Sure, she gave advice that was contrary to medical studies but we all read magazines and books so we knew she had to be testing us, to see if we were paying attention. I have other notable memories of growing up with her and I have to say, you may have known her as Anne? But I was blessed to have Nan and Anne, both, to keep me on my toes throughout life's challenges. She was also generous, kind and fun~ and was a good sport. She would visit, knock on the front door and my sons (her nephews)would run out the back door instead of greeting her (She finally figured it out) So, I guess? She could dish it out but.. we learned from the best! Memories will have to do, now. She was loved and we will miss her tremendously, a beloved sister and aunt forever ♥️
And in 1965, she was the girl with the brand new '65 Ford Mustang convertible, cruising the streets of Freeport. Rest in Peace :)
