Linda, Denise & families we are sending you lots of love and comforting prayers during this difficult time.
Remember when we the Lacko sisters met the Simatovich sisters, and became Instant Best Friends?! Then our parents met and we became an Instant Croatian Family of 8! We are so grateful that our families became so close. The blessings and happy times we shared developed into an unbelievable bond of love and friendship that will remain in our hearts forever. What a gift God gave us!!
It is hard to say goodbye to Helen. Wish we could have been there with you…but know we were with you in spirit!! Mom is now with the love of her life, Tony, and relieved of any pain and suffering. She is in a wonderful place with the rest of our parents. What a legacy they all left us.
When someone you love becomes a memory…that memory becomes a treasure~we will be forever grateful to God that our paths crossed .

Helen Simatovich will always be “Auntie,” to me. She’s always been part of my life. We visited almost every summer. We slept on the living room floor in sweltering heat, loving every minute! I remember Croatian picnics, holidays, road trips. She loved fiercely, loyally, but gave the harshest punishment if you disappointed her! The dreaded silent treatment! She always loved me, made me feel special, supported me. She loved my family, my husband, my children, my grandson. She never forgot us. We feel fortunate to have had her in our lives. Helen was a joy to have in our outpatient surgery unit. She went about keeping things stocked, organized, and clean! Helen was always there to help in anyway. She went about her job in a quiet and pleasant way. RIP Helen you have left us with beautiful memories.
